The Role

As an Agile Project Manager you will be expected to form valued, lasting relationships with our clients, have a great understanding of their needs and an ability to manage expectations. You will have an excellent knowledge of project management, and will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. You will coordinate with developers and other third parties to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible, while managing the flow of communication between our clients and our developers, ensuring the project plan is on track and delivered on time, to a high standard. An understanding of project planning, resource management and working knowledge of agile practices are essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

  • Breaking down project specifications into workable project plans for dev teams

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Building strong relationships with clients

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Sprint planning and maintenance

  • Communicating technical information to the client effectively

  • Working with team leads and developers to ensure delivery of projects

  • Coordinating meetings, calls and visits to/from client offices

  • Maintaining processes and ensuring adherence to in-house procedures

  • Analysing and reporting on project success

Person Specification

Working Knowledge of Agile Practices/Project Management:  Working knowledge of scrum mastery, sprint maintenance etc. or previous exposure to agile practices. Proven working experience in project management.

Relationship Building: This is very much a customer facing role, so you should be approachable, affable and always ensure that your client feels like they’re in a safe pair of hands

Excellent Communication: Both written and spoken, is paramount. You should be comfortable in explaining complex concepts to a non-technical client, as well as understanding detailed specifications from our development team

Time Management: You would be expected to manage your time effectively between our two main clients, as well as ensure that projects are delivered on time

Industry Knowledge/Interest: Broad interest and knowledge of eCommerce, retail or fashion is greatly advantageous in winning the trust of our clients

Project Management: This role requires understanding project specifications and an ability to ensure these are delivered on time and to a high standard, previous exposure to project management is essential

Tools/Software: Previous knowledge of Jira and ticket writing is desirable but not essential

Salary is dependant on experience so is negotiable for the right person! It is helpful to us if you can include a salary expectation in your application. We provide a wide salary bracket for some roles, as we do not like to 'put off' talented candidates by having an intimidatingly high or slightly too low salary bracket. We prefer to base this on the persons skillset, capability and attitude. Hence why we do not provide rigid set salaries -we'd rather work to get the person we really want rather than put them off even applying!

 With that in mind, for this particular role the salary ranges £32,000 - £42,000 DOE.
