JOB SPECIFICATION

Overview of the Role:

As a Full Stack Developer you will be working with the existing team to build out our core product. Gathering and documenting requirements for client and internal projects and delivering high quality, testable code to meet these requirements. You will plan and design platform features and take responsibility for delivering these features in a timely manner. The team work with React and PHP using Symfony. If you are a keen Full Stack Developer looking for an opportunity to work in an environment where code quality and great testing is valued highly - then this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities and Experience:

  • Delivering projects with JS frameworks such as React or Vue

  • Creating APIs to be consumed by frontend frameworks

  • Strong OOP skills, PHP 7.1+

  • Comfortable using GIT for version control

  • Keeping your code clean, well organised, and DRY

  • Comfortable with Git

  • Ability to effectively communicate with external clients and internal team

  • Exposure/contribution to Open Source would be an advantage

  • Experience of Symfony 2 would be a strong advantage


SOFT SKILLS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Specific Experience: Hands on experience as a Full Stack developer, with proven experience of delivering projects with JS frameworks such as React or Vue.

Excellent Communication: Both written and spoken is paramount, you will not only be working with our team of in-house developers, but will also be in contact with our clients and designers to deliver projects.

Software and Tools: Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Industry Knowledge/Interest: Broad interest and knowledge of eCommerce, retail or fashion is greatly advantageous.

Accuracy: Keen attention to detail and strong problem solving skills.

Self-Development: Continuous learning mindset, ability to keep up to date with fast changing trends. Ability to accept feedback and come up with creative solutions around that feedback.

Time Management: Ability to work automonously and manage workload effectively.

Salary is dependant on experience so is negotiable for the right person, it is helpful to us if you can include a salary expectation in your application. We prefer to base this on the persons skillset, capability and attitude as well as notable experience! With that in mind the salary bracket for this role is around £35,000 - £40,000.
